REDI-LINE generators operate from vehicle batteries and convert DC power to AC to run power tools, appliances and electrical equipment where commercial AC power is not conveniently available. Rugged and Reliable. Encased in rugged, steel enclosures, and constructed for long life with minimum maintenance, REDI-LINE is backed by a two year warranty. Advantages over other power conversion methods. REDI-LINE products are compact and whisper quiet, and, unlike and gasoline engine driven generators, produce no dangerous fumes or exhaust. Additionally, REDI-LINE can be mounted in any position - even up-side-down. Advanced Demand Start Circuit. REDI-LINE features an advanced demand start circuit that is sensitive enough to activate the generator even with variable speed power tools. Use the following formula to estimate how long a fully charged deep cycle battery will keep the REDI-LINE continuously operating before the battery will need recharging:
Cold Cranking Amps (a readily available rating for all batteries) is equal to the total of each battery used. AC load amperes is the AC current listed on the nameplate of the tool or appliance. For example, a single battery with a CCA rating of 675 is used to operate the 1600 watt generator. An AC load of 4 amps is operated by the generator. Continuous run time is:
It is important to match REDI-LINE and AC motor loads correctly since AC motor starting currents can be 1.5 to 5 times their rated current. Note this does not apply to universal motors which are widely used in power tools. Check the motor nameplate for motor type and horsepower, then refer to the table below for starting current requirements. See Specifications table. The REDI-LINE Surge Output Current capability varies with each model. The AC motor starting current should not exceed the Surge Output Current specified.
